Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Five strings, a single neodymium bridge humbucker, and an 18V active preamp give the StingRay Special 5 H a direct, controlled layout for bass work that needs clear low-end definition. Volume plus bass, mid, and treble controls let you make quick EQ changes without changing the core pickup setup. The ash body and roasted maple neck pair with a 34-inch scale, while the sculpted five-bolt neck joint and lightweight tuning machines address balance during extended rehearsal, stage, and studio use.
