Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a cutaway dreadnought body, the GD38CE is a 12-string acoustic-electric with a solid spruce top and sapele back and sides. The body design combines a full, projecting acoustic voice with access to the upper frets. For amplified work, Takamine's TP-3G system provides a built-in tuner and three-band EQ, so tuning and basic tonal adjustment stay on the guitar. A mahogany neck, laurel fingerboard, gloss black finish, and abalone rosette complete the build.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Stage sets needing onboard tuning and three-band EQ control across all 12 strings.
- Studio or rehearsal playing that benefits from upper-fret access on a cutaway dreadnought.
- Strummed chords and fingerpicked parts that call for a 12-string acoustic-electric texture.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
